"Rusty
Maize"
is
a crazy quilt with a message. I decided upon the theme of a
person trying to find their way along life's path. I combined
the Pima maze idea (also called Elder Brother's House) and the
Navajo wedding basket stairstep along a strong two-sided stairstepped
path. Along the way, the path becomes less distinct with muddier
colors and it splits and forks to further confuse the traveler
trying to get back to where they started.
