Margaret Wood - 100 words
Margaret Wood is a Navajo/Oklahoma Seminole fiber artist who creates clothing and quilts. She started sewing doll clothes at age 9. She holds degrees in Elementary Education and Library Science. She wrote a book titled, Native American Fashion: Modern Adaptations of Traditional Wear which was published in 1981 and owned a small business selling clothing and quilts for 30 years. Today, her creative emphasis is quilting but she still makes some wearable art. Her current project is producing a series of quilts depicting Rain God Mesa in Monument Valley.
